Stars in our Schools
This year, Collingwood, with our amazing student Media crews, has made a major contribution to the special anniversary celebration of Stars in our Schools by creating a special short video.
The video features UNISON Northumberland Branch Secretary Hannah Brown, Councillor Scott Dickinson MBE and teachers and students from across Collingwood.
All of the interviews, sound and camerawork on the video are entirely the work of our talented students.

Water and Steel
We are proud to present our first video creation from the Collingwood ‘Spaces’ project. Spaces opens up the world of ambient, electronic and experimental sound to our students giving them the sonic freedom to create soundscapes and tracks from their own imaginations.
Shaun on the Tyne
Collingwood once again get involved in Big Art! We have our own Shaun the Sheep as part of this year's Shaun on the Tyne event for St. Oswald's Hospice.
Our finished sheep, under several protective coats of varnish, will be on display outside the Cluny next to toe Ouse Burn in Newcastle before returning home to Collingwood.

Morpeth Fair 2023
Collingwood School and Media Arts College are proud to have contributed to this year’s Morpeth Fair.
The new Morpeth Fair logo was created by Collingwood Media and is based on artwork and ideas from our students. The Collingwood Media team were on hand to record and produce a video showcasing this 2023 Grand parade.
Leo is Young Carer of the Year

ITV Signpost Partnership
Our Sixth Form students are working with ITV Signpost Productions as part of an exciting partnership between Signpost Productions and Collingwood. While the students are working with Signpost they are expanding on their existing experience, gained from working in the video and sound studios here at Collingwood.

Alnwick Garden Filming Begins
Alnwick Garden CEO Mark Brassell was in the Collingwood studio today.
Following our success with previous video-based projects with the Alnwick Garden, Collingwood Media have been commissioned to create a series of twenty short videos over the next few months. Filming will take place in our studio and on location at the Alnwick Garden.
Mad Hatters
We now have the final amount raised by our slightly crazy annual Mad Hatter's Tea Party.
An amazing £850 was raised. A fantastic effort.

Well done, Ben
We are very proud that Collingwood student Ben has been made an honorary member of the Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service.
Ben has always been interested in the Fire Service and it is his ambition to make this his career.
Mark Sets Sail
Student Mark has completed his Taster certificate in dinghy sailing.
This is part of the Youth Sailing Scheme run by the Royal Yachting Association which offers a safe and fun environment for children to learn and challenge themselves.

Rabbit Foot Club Video
One of our talented student media crews have created the video here as part of our ongoing Ask! interview series. Rabbit Foot Club performed at Collingwood as part of an Arts Week event.
All of the research, filming, sound and editing is the work of the media crew.
Fundraising Success
Odin and Gracie, two of our talented riders attending the Newcastle and District RDA Group at Throphill have raised an amazing £803 for the charity, by making and selling bracelets.

Fly Fishing Friends
Mason, one of our students, features in 'Flyfishing: A Journal for the Modern Angler', displaying a fish he caught over the school break.
He only started fishing recently so this is quite a catch for him!
Our Tribute to Queen Elizabeth II
We recruited the creative skills of our students to help design and produce a celebration of the life of Queen Elizabeth II.
Our students made their own colourful version of an old fourpenny stamp. A finished artwork was then produced by combining the original graphics.
