Alnwick Garden Filming Begins
Alnwick Garden CEO Mark Brassell was in the Collingwood studio today.
Following our success with previous video-based projects with the Alnwick Garden, Collingwood Media have been commissioned to create a series of twenty short videos over the next few months. Filming will take place in our studio and on location at the Alnwick Garden.
We now have the final amount raised by our slightly crazy annual Mad Hatter's Tea Party. An amazing £850 was raised. A fantastic effort.
Many thanks to everyone involved in this fun event!
Well done, Ben
We are very proud that Collingwood student Ben has been made an honorary member of the Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service.
Ben has always been interested in the Fire Service and it is his ambition to make this his career.
Mark Sets Sail
Student Mark has completed his Taster certificate in dinghy sailing.
This is part of the Youth Sailing Scheme run by the Royal Yachting Association which offers a safe and fun environment for children to learn and challenge themselves.
More details about the scheme can be found on the Royal Yachting Association website on the link below.
One of our talented student media crews have created the video here as part of our ongoing Ask! interview series. Rabbit Foot Club performed at Collingwood as part of an Arts Week event. All of the research, filming, sound and editing is the work of the media crew.
Odin and Gracie, two of our talented riders attending the Newcastle and District RDA Group at Throphill have raised an amazing £803 for the charity, by making and selling bracelets.
They are pictured here with Avril Lomas, Chair of the Group.
Fly Fishing Friends
Mason, one of our students, features in 'Flyfishing: A Journal for the Modern Angler', displaying a fish he caught over the school break.
He only started fishing recently so this is quite a catch for him!
Our Tribute to Queen Elizabeth II
We recruited the creative skills of our students to help design and produce a celebration of the life of Queen Elizabeth II.
Our students made their own colourful version of an old fourpenny stamp. A finished artwork was then produced by combining the original graphics.
